The Nørding Keystone filters help remove the humidity from the tobacco and the condensation created while smoking.
When using Nørding Keystones in a traditional pipe, you also “lift” the tobacco a few millimetres from the bottom of the pipe bowl, preventing the tobacco from blocking the airflow in front of the draw hole.
Lifting the tobacco from the bottom of the pipe bowl also helps the pipe smoker keep the pipe lit and at the same time offering the advantage of being able to smoke all the tobacco…
Often the remaining tobacco is usually lost and scraped out together with the ashes when finished smoking.
How to use Keystones in a traditional Smoking Pipe:
Add 5 to 10 Keystones into the pipe bowl and fill with tobacco.
After smoking, empty the ashes and used keystones from the pipe bowl.
How to use Keystones in the Eriksen Keystone Pipe:
Add 10 to 15 Keystones into the spiral chamber , mount the pipe bowl and fill it with tobacco.
After smoking, let the pipe cool down, empty the ashes from the pipe bowl and the used keystones from the spiral chamber.
