The Davidoff Year of the Horse 2026 was blended around a rare composition of proprietary hybrid seeds: an Ecuadorian hybrid wrapper, an Ecuadorian hybrid binder, and three Dominican hybrid fillers.
According to the Davidoff Group, these individual tobaccos have been aged up to 10 years, totaling a combined 43 years of aging. This marks the first time Davidoff has created a blend made entirely from its own hybrid seed varieties, each developed through a years-long selection process.
The release also carries a symbolic connection as Zino Davidoff himself was born in the Year of the Horse. This cigar was designed to reflect the zodiac sign’s elegance, vitality, and expressive spirit.
Davidoff describes the profile as sweet and rich, with notes of milk chocolate, roasted hazelnut, and subtle spice. Like many Davidoff Chinese New Year editions, this is a collector-oriented release showcasing the brand’s highest level of craftsmanship.
