2012 by Oscar cigars are a box-pressed reboot of the original 2012 edition, released the year when Oscar Valladares officially entered the cigar business.
It was also the year the Mayan calendar predicted the end of the world, which accounts for the Mayan-themed artwork on the boxes.
Luckily for Oscar the world didn't end, because he's enjoyed some remarkable success since then. And to celebrate that success, Oscar and his master blender, Byron Duarte, have done it again with an even more impressive-tasting line-up.
Using a core of Honduran and Nicaraguan filler & binder tobaccos sharply pressed, Cuban-style, in three different wrappers - Connecticut, Corojo, and Maduro - 2012 by Oscar cigars serve up creamy-smooth, perfectly-balanced banquet of flavour.
The 2012 by Oscar Connecticut is capped with a very silky and delicate Connecticut-seed wrapper, offering a mellow, creamy, and earthy-nutty smoke on a somewhat dry, yet flavourful finish.
The 2012 by Oscar Corojo boasts a sun-grown Honduran Corojo wrapper and runs more in the medium-full range with a creamy serving of earth, roasted nuts, graham cracker, and molasses for an extraordinarily complex cigar on a long, lingering finish.
The 2012 by Oscar Maduro is finished with a Mexican San Andrés maduro wrapper, issuing a medium-full smoke brimming with earthy spice, chocolate cake, and ground coffee on a long, semi-sweet finish.
