"The Punch Chop Suey is a Limited Edition Long Panatela that will peak your curiosity and satisfy it. Celebrating the Year of the Rat, Punch releases the second Limited Edition Chinese take-out styled cigar. Made with a shaggy foot, each cigar is about as long as the chopsticks that serve as the box's handles. Novelty aside, the Chop Suey is a very tasty Long Panatela with a deep, reddish-brown Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper. Medium strength, the Punch Chop Suey has an excellent draw, and a flavour profile. A bundle of 25 comes packaged in an eye-catching Chinese food take-out carton. Peel off the band and you’ll be treated to a fortune. But your real fortune comes, if you’re lucky enough to get your hands on a Limited Edition Punch Chop Suey."

Panatela's are quite likely my least favourite vitola... that said I have had some outstanding ones and I've heard great things about this one too. Much like the Egg Roll this cigar has an un-wrapped foot, I actually really like that feature.. It gives you a chance to taste the binder and filler without wrapper, just long enough to see how it is before the remaining 85% of the flavours arrive haha.
So, lets get into it and see how it stacks up!

Construction   7/10
Burn 9/10
Draw 9/10
Flavour  10/10
Complexity  8/10
Strength 70%

Construction & Burn
This is one rustic looking cigar! It tapers in a little towards the head and has a few parts that are softer than others. It visually reminds me of these cheap dutch cigars my dad smoked many years ago. It is is not way an attractive stick... it looks - dare i say it - almost homemade.. Burn wise tho, pretty flawless.

Flavour & Complexity
Not a lot happening pre the wrapper here but once it kicks in damn! Outstanding and classic Sumatra flavour profile of wood, pepper, leather, coffee beans and nuts with the odd hint of sweetness. A good level of complexity noted mostly due to the lower strength
Strength
Mid all day. I would have liked this to have a little more hit but it did sit nicely with the flavours and allow for the subtle complexity to shine.
Overall
As i say.. this is not an attractive cigar.. but I hear that was intentional so its hard to hold it back on that. Flavour, Journey & Burn wise, i.e how it actually smoked,  was awesome and its a well priced stick. Strength was a tad light for me but over all a great cigar. I give this 88 points.
