Welcome back for another review!
Casa Cuevas Maduro
Technically speaking Casa Cuevas is a new line of cigars and they have just arrived in NZ but that statement can be a little deceiving as the Cuevas family have been growing Tobacco since the 19th century!
Settling in the Dominican Republic after fleeing Cuba in 1959 the Cuevas family set up Tabacalera Las Lavas where they have manufactured premium cigars for the likes of Gurkha, Sam Leccia and Cigars International so when word came they were creating their own line, I like many others, was excited to see what they produced!

This is one tasty cigar! There is a noticeable amount of sweetness to it with a hint of spice, some touches of earth and an aftertaste of wood. Throughout the balance is great.
The burn and draw are near perfection. Plenty of smoke available and a nice tight white ash
This is a medium-full cigar strength wise and my only real criticism is that it could have slightly more kick, that said there is enough depth and complexity in it that you are not left wanting.
What a stick! The Cuevas family’s experience shines through in this cigar, it is a pleasure to smoke and I can’t wait to check out the rest of the line.
